Nathan is not a fan of DC Comics, even in real life. I've tried explaining to him that just because a book is published by DC doesn't mean it's like the normal DC stories. He's complicated, he is. He hates DC but loves Vertigo, which is an offshoot of DC. And yet he won't give Watchmen a try...oh well.
